Monster Media partnered with Hasbro and Walmart to promote the Transformer toy franchise. In order to increase shopper dwell time and further communication opportunities, we activated an interactive tablet pilot across twenty key-marketing Walmart locations. Users visiting the toy aisles in select Walmarts were able to participate in an engaging photo-taking experience with their favorite Transformers. On idle, the tablet played a trailer for the upcoming DVD release of the latest Transformer movie. Once users began to interact with the system via touch they were able to select from various photo overlays with different Transformer characters to take a photo with. Once users took their photo, they entered either their email address or mobile phone number to receive their custom photo. Users were able to then share out their photo and even go on to the Walmart site to continue shopping for their favorite Transformer toys.
